Beth Roark, RN, is battling alcoholism. Guilt over the death of her young son and husband in an automobile accident in which she was driving is destroying her. Her family doesn't know where to turn with her addiction. When Beth's sister, Ann, decides Beth must get sober or die, she takes a huge risk and leaves Beth on a sailboat off the coast of Panama City, FL to get sober. West Point graduate and former Army officer, Mick O'Bryan, is running from his anger and disillusionment of being unjustly blamed for the friendly-fire death of a soldier in Iraq. That event shakes Mick's belief in honor and integrity, so he's sailing the waters of Florida, trying to find peace from his anger and the loss of his career and good name. When fate intervenes and these two wounded souls are brought together, sparks fly. It finally takes a storm at sea and near tragedy for both to realize there is redemption and healing in love.
