With a noticeable change in mood from his two previous books of poetry, this book takes a step further from author Aaron Michael Lynn's previous poetry book Cheep Beer and Pancakes. It is less so a message of trying to find oneself, but rather trying to love oneself now that one has found out who they are. All of the poems in this book were written over the course of 2019 and into the beginning of 2020. This book takes us back into the gardens that were, back into the interlude, and almost acts as a goodbye to those old concepts, introducing new concepts like that of cold rain as a sign of positive change. The title was inspired by a concept that appears in his Troika fiction trilogy, as a chaplet weaves many smaller beautiful flowers into a single crown. The custom artwork that is featured on the cover was painted by his cousin, Sara Andrea DeMoranville.
