Torment and tragedy haunt Meadow's thoughts, she is visited by nightmares when she sleeps, nightmares of a horrific day when her village was destroyed by a wicked villain. With her family and friends all slain by this demon, Meadow has been left to wander the mystical land of Resplendia alone, but hope still burns brightly within her. Although still very young, Meadow seeks out a legendary alchemist who is a wizard with potions, for it is rumoured he knows of a potion capable of erasing the most painful of memories forever. Thus, Meadow meets the eccentric Clyde, the master alchemist she has heard of, but cannot afford the price of his memory erasing potion. Eager to banish the horrific memories plaguing her mind, Meadow agrees to become Clyde's apprentice and the two begin their perilous adventures across the land of Resplendia, aiding those in need with the power of their alchemy.
