After the Decade of Horrors a New Era has begun and everyone has been placed in an environment where they can thrive. The Leaders believe that if each individual can reach their maximum potential, then humankind can reach its maximum potential. Even though everything is better in the New Era and Es knows she has been placed in the perfect environment, she mourns the loss of her old life, family and friends.
