It is a work of fiction that takes place in the south of France. Mario Lafuente and Mateo Pelayo, two recently graduated students, travel to the city of Toulouse to pursue a master's degree in engineering. They decide to spend the summer in that city to optimize their command of the language. Everything is going well until one night Mario disappears under strange circumstances. Desperate, Mateo begins the search for Mario, which will lead him to make incredible revelations. In his inquiries, Mateo will discover that he is not alone. He will meet other people in his same situation. Strange creatures and secret organizations intertwine throughout the chilling plot.
