Black Coffee Kelly Tam

I wrote this book in hopes to bring hope to the hopeless. After processing two very traumatic events in my life, there have been many seasons of bitterness, emptiness, darkness, and isolation. The poems in this book are what helped me go through those different seasons. Some of these poems were inspired by not only personal experience, but experiences of close friends. Sometimes I feel like black coffee-bitter. Black coffee is bitter, sour, dark, and no one cares to try it because of its color. Similarly in today's world, there is prejudice, discrimmination, and judgement everywhere whether it is conscious or subconscious. I am here to let you know that you are not alone and I wrote this book just for you.
