Maxine, a 17-year old teen from L. A. who has become a rebellious troublemaker since her mother passed away, gets sent to Texas by her father with the approval of the judge, for her last chance before being imprisoned in a juvenile correction facility. But nothing goes as planned and a story of mutual assistance between the oldest son in the Baker family begins to bud, as he also has been living as a virtual recluse in his family's ranch since his accident. A story that forces both of them to face up to their demons and rediscover who they really are.
