Occasionally, she was asked to write a poem related to the death of church members. Ethel found it was easy to write a poem about someone she knew, and before long, she was being asked to write poems for birthdays, anniversaries, and other occasions. Her love for writing increased with the onset of cancer that invaded her life. She prays that someday, her poems and writings will continue to be enjoyed by family, friends, anyone who has suffered from a debilitating disease. She hopes that her books will serve as inspiration to prove that with God, all things are possible.
