The two women had known each other so long, literally since birth, that they knew almost everything about each other. Often finished each other's sentences. Their laughs sounded the same. Yet, they were distinctly different: the one an accomplished writer and enthusiastic hedonist; the other a business executive and computer pioneer who built a small electric supply company into an electronics and retail fashion powerhouse. Late in their lives both try to focus the bulk of their efforts on the charitable activities of the foundation they create to help empower women. And help victimized women escape sex trafficking. For many years both harbor a deep secret: as small children, each had been raped.
