his novel was based on the ideas that the author has developed in his book.... Man and the Cosmos... The Science of Everything... The book referred to...is a book of science....it is a book of philosophy.... The interesting thing about Omicron Blue is that it probably can be categorized as a science fiction story...yet the emphasis in this book is not upon imaginative projection of technological evolution in the future...there are no rockets...no light sabres....the focus is upon placing the ideas in Man and Cosmos into three, four...well, five dimensions...okay, so the author has an idea of what the five dimensions are!... Scientists say that humanity has only a fifty-fifty chance of making it through the 21st century... Man and the Cosmos presents a new science....and a new Scientific Method...tools we need to survive...no, to thrive in the centuries to come.... What would the world look like if these new ideas were adopted and a safe, glorious, new world were created? The author is not preaching revolution here... Neither is he saying that fate... that is to say, evolution...is sort of pushing us inexorably towards one destination.... No, it won't be that easy... The future must be won...one idea at a time... The future must be developed by man and woman one tool at a time....that is, one invention at a time... Nothing will be given to us without expenditure of effort and thought.... Still there is a logic to things...actually a common sense progression in the way the world will probably weave its way forward... And the way can be made easier to negotiate and the end more true to our real needs...if we can just sit back right now and project...imagine what the future might look like...if natural forces are allowed to progress...but...we use these new tools in their most powerful way!.... Yes, then there is hope!... Then there will be a way...for man and woman...to strive for the Light!... What proposals for change and emphasis upon certain innovations might be chosen?... How can the use of these new tools...make the trip to the future easier...the destination obtained more swiftly...with less pain and anguish?... This is what Omicron Blue...is all about...
