This story is about healing. It's about becoming more confident. It's about believing in yourself. Marek Ondruj has worked on the story of John Leere for many years until now. Because it is about healing and encouragement, the timing of this book couldn't be better for releasing it due to the current situation in the world. He applied his knowledge and experience in medicine, psychology, spirituality, and sports to create this entertaining, motivating, and inspiring story which he also illustrated to show the magical world John went to. John Leere is a twelve-year-old boy who soon after the beginning of the story enters the kingdom of his mind to learn more about himself and to improve his confidence and outlook on life. He goes through series of events that teach him to appreciate life and to believe in himself so he can win against the sickness in his body by defeating the problem that started in his mind. This story shows a connection between physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of a person and how they interact with each other. What is interesting about this young adult fiction story is that, even though it is a fiction, the whole story could be almost taken as non-fiction because the things that we see, hear, experience by our senses get into our mind and make an impact on it. This story is meant to encourage those who face health or mental issue, or disease, or try to find confidence in themselves in order to fight the problem they have just like John Leere did in this book. Dr. Ondruj hopes that this story will help and encourage people as they need it right now.
