The relationship between Rob Mason and his father Frank has been tempestuous for most of his seventeen years. Growing up in Anaheim, CA, Rob found his new family in a street gang which led to many arrests and further alienation from his father. After being drafted to Viet Nam, Frank, a WW2 veteran convinces Rob to dodge the draft and takes him to Mexico to hide out with a friend he served with in Europe. Antonio, who owns a casino, agrees to harbor Rob and they form a deep friendship. Brett Cummings prides himself as being a relentless hunter for the FBI's draft evasion unit and he tracks Rob to Mexico where he learns his fugitive has been caught up in a drug cartel and is in perilous danger. Antonio's son Carlos is a sociopath drug dealer who starts a war with a rival drug lord which causes tension between him and his father. Jealous of the relationship Rob and Antonio have developed, Carlos acts on his hatred for Rob and his prostitute girlfriend Rosa through violence. Fleeing south to avoid the wrath of Carlos and the FBI, Rob, Rosa, and Frank are in a race against time to escape Mexico. Armed and prepared to fight to the end, will they be able to make it out of the country alive?
