How I became a hero in three simple steps:

1. Be a mercenary, taking odd jobs because you need the money
2. End up entangled in a major crisis
3. Make a series of bad decisions, but somehow come out a hero

Did I plan this? Nope. Did I want this? Hell no.

Am I really a hero? Hah. Solid no.

But I don't hide when things get tough. I don't abandon my friends when they're in danger. And I don't mind getting my hands dirty and my swords bloody to finish my job.

Also, I got a snarky-but-quite-deadly vampire at my side. And a few very unique allies. I'm usually a loner, but having a guy like him with me certainly made this mission more... interesting.

As I tell my clients: When you hire me, you get a job well done.

Only this job has escalated WAY out of proportion.
