Even though I'm not what you'd call a typical teenager, at sixteen, the last thing anyone wants or needs is for anything or anyone to cause them to stand out from the crowd. A bodyguard, which I do not want or need, would do just that.

Fortunately, that's not going to be a problem for me because the crowd is gone-vanished, disappeared into thin air, leaving only me and my bodyguard behind on a deserted campus. To make matters worse, I can't get in touch with anyone.

Finding yourself all alone is unnerving enough, but finding out the reason behind it is terrifying.
