Serena James is a 32-year-old journalist who decides to leave New York and move to Marrakech, Morocco, to pursue a foreign adventure. There, she meets her former lover, Jean-Philippe, whom she dated in New York. He is to be her business partner, with a plan to run yoga retreats at his sprawling villa just outside of Marrakech. Amidst heartbreak, all the challenges that come with doing business in a corrupt Third World country, and language barriers, Serena navigates through life in North Africa for two years. Two Years In Morocco sees Serena journey through the Kingdom of Morocco, meet an eclectic group of expats and experience true romance. Ultimately she must decide whether to stay in Africa or move back to the Western world.
