This the second book in a series about the fight against Fascism. Major Mike Roth, US Marine Corps, an Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) agent, flees Germany at the outbreak of war between the US and Germany with the Gestapo in pursuit. Having completed an espionage tour, he is reassigned to a Marine Corps unit in the Pacific. After recovering from wounds, he is loaned to the Office of Strategic Service (OSS) and assigned first to North Africa, then France and Germany. His efforts are a continuing struggle to uncover German progress on an atomic bomb and aircraft or rockets that would permit striking the United States.
