This book is a collection of events that occurred in the author's life. It attempts to capture the emotions that led to a successful career, both in the army and as a teacher after he retired from military service. The sequence of short stories is in the form of a timeline, leading from boyhood disability to membership of the elite Army Physical Training Corps (The Royal Army Physical Training Corps). Our aspirations often manifest themselves because of physical or mental hardship. Combining these with boyhood dreams can be a critical factor in the development of individual characteristics.
