Coconuts And Ice cream Andy Keen
Coconuts And Ice cream
Andy Keen
Most people don't travel anywhere via Australia, but Andy did. The Solomon Islands lie in the South Pacific, the villages do not have electricity but have rice and sweet potato in abundance. Everywhere is a canoe ride away. There are creatures that can injury you and cause you pain. Andy battles it all, and still talks in Church meetings each night. Being part of the party that officially opened the 'Spotlight on Solomons' youth centre, he got to wear flower garlands and 'attacked' by warriors. Andy even attended Synod, when he wasn't being ill with suspected Malaria. He learned some Pijin. And bought ice cream when he could. In return the Solomon Islanders showed him just some of the hundred uses they have for the coconut.
