In the vast number of books and manuals available on the market, few are those who summarize the versatile variety of knowledge that composesto the world of drums, for which it would be necessary to collect a wide range of rhythms and styles. Here I make the humble attempt to capture, based on my studies and experiences, what I consider can be adocument of great utility for the understanding of this knowledge. Apart from knowing the values of the notes and other theoretical aspects related to what was applied in the course of the book, you will also find a semblance of the history of the drums that may be of your particular interest. Each new learning regarding the measurement of the values of the notes will come reinforced with its application when handling different types of motor coordination feet / hands and directly in the study of rhythms and readings. Practice each exercise a minimum of 20 times at different speeds supported by your metronome, starting from very slow times to as fast as you can without muscle tension, remembering to keep your legs, arms, back, neck and shoulders relaxed, in an environmentfree from distractions. These indications will make it easier for you to develop your skills. I recommend having a liter of drinking water always on hand during your practice time. The objective of this book is not only to initiate the student in the knowledge of the battery through the learning ofnote values, rhythms, readings and rolls, to take the first steps in handling the language of the drums, but also aims to be a suitable study plan to be used by teachers and schools. It is a pleasure to present this work done with love and which I hope is only the beginning of a journey together
