Poetry allowed me to express my creativity to the world and share my unique perspective of love, tragedy, life, death, struggles and triumphs. In my poetry; I strive to be anything but mundane and mediocre. As an avid writer for over 2 decades, I never wrote for being renowned; to the contrary, I wrote to deal with my emotions. I found that divulging my pain and frustration was somewhat therapeutic and gave me an outlet to allow me to write whatever I wanted. Not until recently within the last few years have I begun to share my poetry. I love being able to connect with people from all over the world. I want to connect with the reader and not only paint a picture with my words, but give them a front row seat to experience it as if they were there. Life isn't particularly pretty and neither is my writing. If you want inspirational or trivial love poems, I'm not that kind of poet. I want my writing to remain pure. And I would like to thank you for allowing me to share all my hopes, dreams, aspirations, anxieties, fears, thoughts, depression, lost, humor and my life with you through my poetry.
