My name is Dr. Thomas H. Williams, Th. D., and pray that while this description is brief it is not the entirety of the book. My prayer is that this book will prove to be an encouragement to you. My daddy was a bootlegger while my mama had the responsibility of raising my brothers and sisters. Shortly after my fifteenth birthday our mama went into the hospital and her last words to me were to take care of the younger children. I will never forget the day my aunt pulled along the side of the road I was walking and told me that my mama had died on the operating table. All the responsibility of raising the younger siblings came upon my shoulders. Two years later my daddy died, and I was all alone with the younger siblings. I was forced to drop out of high school, and work get a job that required me to walk back and forth home. I had to be home when the younger children came home from school. At the age of eighteen, a preacher invited me to attend a church service, but I did not receive CHRIST as my SAVIOUR until the next night at a Bible Study when I inspected my life and realized I needed to be prepared for eternity. It was hard raising the younger children and put them to bed with our older brother home from Vietnam drinking and cussing all night. However, by the grace of GOD I managed to start and pastor my first church in another town. A funeral director told me that he could tell when someone was ready to go to Heaven or Hell. He said that if they were going to Heaven their body was real easy to move around and prepare for burial, but if someone was dying and going to Hell their body was real stiff as if they were trying to hold on to this life for they knew their eternity would result in their destruction. My prayer is that this book will allow you to inspect yourself and make sure it is ready for eternity!
