Paradox tells the story of two men and their unlikely friendship. Detective Robert Adams met Father Timothy Murphy at a time when his faith was tested daily on the violent streets of Chicago. It also came at a time when the church was under increased scrutiny over sexual abuse allegations against its pastors. As a result, Adams became disillusioned with the church he belonged to his entire life. When the despondent detective was introduced to Murphy's unique message, his faith in the church was restored. However his faith would be shaken once again when a brutal murder case he was investigating would lead him to the door step of his church, and of his best friend, Father Tim Murphy. The terrifying events that followed would forever alter the course of Detective Adams life, and the lives of those around him.
