Building a Foundation to Measure National Well-Being Uva Capstone Team

Creating a Measure Tool, a Key National Indicator, to go Beyand Gross Demestic Product (GDP) using the pillars set forth by our Founders in the Preamble to the U. S. Constitution. Such a product was authorized by Congress and signed by President OBama in 2010 with an appropriation of $78 million but the funds were never appropriated. This effort was done by a top group of senior students from the Data Science Institute at the University of Virginia as part of their capstone project and won first prize in an international competition.
