Abuela Tomasa Saves Christmas
Ida Talbert
The last thing Agustin Garcia wants to think about is Christmas. In the last few months his life has taken a toll for the worst, and there seems to be no end in sight to his woes.
It all began when his only daughter Alejandra was taken by ICE while she was teaching her 6th grade class. A great travesty since a mistake was made and she should not have been detained in the first place. At seeing the grave situation Alejandra was in, her mother Tomasa dies of sorrow and grief. This is a terrible blow to Agustin since Tomasa is and will always be the love of his life.
But unlike Agustin his granddaughter Emma believes that all is not lost and a Christmas miracle will occur and she will see her mother come home for Christmas. Emma is looking forward to getting her Christmas wish answered by the only man who can help them, a man by the name of Robert Stone.
Robert Stone is a proud, inconsiderate and arrogant man. He wants nothing to do with the old man and the little girl's pleas for help. He turns them away and hopes to never see them again.
What is a life worth? Will be the precise question that will burn in Robert's mind as a strange visitor will shake him to his core and will leave him perplexed on a cold winter day. As Robert finally sees himself for what he really is, a man without a heart, will he decide to help bring Alejandra home? Or will he go back to his normal life and miss the true meaning of Christmas?
