This book combines two small earlier books, "The Ghosts of Monument Rocks" and "The Ghost of Webster Clayton," with the addition of more poems not included in those collections. These poems, ballads, stories, and hymns have been written over many years. You'll meet geese and turkeys, childhood memories and the blessings of aging, cowboys and Cherokees, religion and patriotism, Cocker Spaniels and Chihuahuas, and the author's varied lifetime of observations spanning nearly ninety years and the country from New Jersey to Arizona--and maybe a 700-year-old temple in Japan. Don't worry about the ghosts; there are only two or three of us! Some of these poems have brought tears, some belly-laughs, and some long, long thoughts.
