River: I was a goner the first time I saw the stunning waitress carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders.

I wasn't looking for a sweet little thing with auburn hair and more baggage than I can fit on the back of my bike, but there's no going back now. She's mine. I'll prove to her I'm more than capable of handling her past and making her feel safe again.



She doesn't trust easily, but River is willing to earn it. The more he chases, the more she wants to get caught.

He keeps coming into the diner with his kind eyes and sweet words that don't seem to fit with the rest of his rugged outlaw biker look. It's like he's only this way with me.

But I'm in no position to be starting anything with anybody. I just got my brother and me out of a bad situation and we're still healing. River could break us. Or maybe, just maybe, he'll be the one to make us feel safe again.
