Love and Murder Dance at the Bingley Ball is a Pride and Prejudice Variation, a combination Mystery/Romance. The novel finds the Bennets, the Darcys and the Bingleys embroiled in a mysterious murder investigation. Why? The murder takes place at the ball Charles Bingley hosts to introduce himself to his new Meryton neighbors, not long after he moves into Netherfield, a local estate. The Bennet seven and the Darcy duo, Fitzwilliam and Georgiana, are guests at the ball. When a guest is found flung on the chandelier, dripping blood on the table below, the Darcys and Bennets know they have to help solve the crime, since the local constable is uninterested in pursuing the clues and Bingley's good name is at stake. Soon they add the Darcy cousin, Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam, to their team, because the murdered man is a captain in his unit. As the investigation proceeds, more and more characters become involved, such as the local doctor and a lord of the realm. Love blooms as the crew are thrown together more and more.
