The choice of keys was determined by our desire to make this book compatible with the woodwind and brass books. Therefore, some of the songs are in flat keys that might be too challenging for the younger string player. For all songs that have two or more flats in the key signature, we included a second version in a more string friendly key in the back of the book. If you mix and match violin, viola, and cello, you may wish to use the sharp keys in the back for a mixed string group.
