I am Juan Félix Aldave-Pita. I am 69 years old and work for 38 years as a medical doctor. I wrote this book because I believe that the most trascendental goal in life, above physical health, is the salvation of each soul through the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on Calvary's cross to save the humanity from the eternal damnation deserved for our sins. Soul salvation is more transcendent than physical healing because it has eternal implications. Two thousand years ago, four friends brought a paralytic to the Lord Jesus. Everyone expected the Lord to cure him of his paralysis; that was the reason for which the sick man was brought. However, to everyone's surprise, the Lord Jesus said to the paralytic: "Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven." Immediately, the religious of that time, attentive to the scene, murmured: "Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"What the religious did not know is that the Lord Jesus Christ was in fact God in human form. Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said: "Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven, ' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man: "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." Instantly, the paralytic rose healed! In this book, I will share with you ten of the many experiences that impacted my life and showed me the immense power of the Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of dire circumstances of illness, social problems and pain.
