In the height of the roaring 20's NYC we meet Adele Aster a young, headstrong and naïve dreamer, who longs for something more than the mundane. Her everyday life is a cacophony of rebelling against her seemingly uptight family and repressing her feelings for the librarian at the New York Public Library. Until one day she encounters a strange man in Central Park that bequeaths to her an enchanted pocket watch, and a legacy beyond one's wildest imagination. She is whisked away to a new world with two moons, where she meets a strange goblin named Ick. He brings her to a city where airships fill the sky, and into the arms of a dashing yet cocky young pilot named Lander who has a striking resemblance to the librarian. The roguish pilot leads them into a whirl wind of dashing rescues, escapes from corrupt Senate officials, all while spurring on a revolution lead by a mysterious figure in a large hat! Their romance struggles and blooms, as does Adele's understanding of herself and the world around her. When Adele receives word that the Senate is rounding up Goblins the race is on to rescue her first friend, Ick. With the help of the motley crew aboard Landers ship the Ezmerelda; they set out to save the gentle Ick. With double agents, and undercover rebels in their midst, they come face to face with more than they bargained for. Yet they are not alone in their struggles as a mysterious crew from years past slowly emerges from the shadows revealing there is much more to this new world than anyone had known. Adele must now have hope in her new friends, and travel beyond the horizon to the city of Cathuria.
