Unmasked is a book of poetry that will take you on a journey of self-reflection as well as the truth that is hidden behind a mask. It is bold, blunt, and raw emotions of characteristics we may have or face in life. Life can at many times cause us to feel the pressure to need to be like the world in attempts to fit in. This book was incredibly special for me because as I wrote it, I began to understand why and how it is important to release ourselves from a past some of us may seem to have to fight more than once in life. Unmasked explains how opening our eyes to the red flags of life's situations gives different views of all that we endure during our journey with the choice of evolving or remaining the same. The eye opener to life's circumstances become clear when we truly become unmasked. It is only then when we open our minds that we all have our struggles in life and that we are destined to make the best of our journeys after overcoming some of the most challenging situations that life faces us with.
