Reflections of Life is a book of poems, stories, thoughts, and prayers that speaks to what is happening in our everyday lives. Hopefully, it will start open and honest conversations and come up with solutions. It starts from the very beginning; Adam and Eve's view of the banishment from paradise, why Satan hates us, from his imagined viewpoint, The killing of unarmed black men, school violence, the rise of drug use and incarceration among women, the incompetency of our President, and the plight and racial division in America today. It acknowledges God in our lives, gives him honor, praise and glory, while reflecting on man's relationship with him. The views and questions come from uniquely different viewpoints, such as the tree that was used for hanging. It asks where are the principles that America was founded on? What happened to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Were all man created equal or were all men created equally? What happened to Schools being a haven of learning? What is the legacy of our civil rights leaders that spoke eloquently, were the heads of households, and stood up for justice? Can you honestly say having all the technology we have has made us a better people?An Insightful look at the reality of today's world.
