One day a terrible storm hit Yumtown. The rain poured down and there was thunder and lightning. But this was no ordinary storm. One of the lightning bolts hit the whole of Yumtown, but it was no ordinary lightning bolt. It was a magic lightning bolt. Anyone in Yumtown who was eating food became a human version of that food. Yumtown now exists with the people who were not eating during the storm and half human, half foods. This is the adventures Ben Ana, who is half human, half banana and his best friends Caleb and Jacob as they live their lives in a town mixed with people and food. This is Steven McNeil's inaugural book of short stories. Steven took his inspiration from his own childhood when his Grandfather would make up bedtime stories for him. After the birth of his two sons Steven decided to create a collection of stories for his children. This is when Ben Ana and Yumtown was created.
