Many mistakenly believe that an individual must be 'bad' or 'evil' to become a prisoner. Caged Love and More hopes to bring to light the creative and loving side of prison, and yes, the risque as well. The United States has only 5% of the world's population but has nearly 25% of the world's incarcerated people. There are 2.2 million people in the nation's prisons and jails-a 500% increase over the last 40 years. The results of mass incarceration are overcrowding in prisons and fiscal burdens on states, despite increasing evidence that large-scale incarceration is not an effective means of achieving public safety.
