Please note that this is the large edition, 8.5 x 11 dimensions. Deep below the fields and cities, Mother Earth awakens the Rootlings from their winter slumber. They busily prepare to go above ground as beautiful flowers, grasses and bugs. Here they remain and play through summer and fall, but as the cold winds come they are chased back underground to Mother Earth. This version has both the original German text as well as an English translation in rhythmic fashion. The passages are written poetically in German and the translation aims to share the same rhythmic sentiment and meaning of the story. On a personal note, I grew up with my mother reading this book to me and it became such a special part of my childhood. My aim is to share this with you and your children that you may get some joy from it as well.
