A born-again Christian, John Reed just got out of prison and is looking for a new sense of purpose, choosing to join his hateful younger brother Joshua in enlisting with a private military company called Blue Shadow. Entering the War in Afghanistan, John must attempt to steer his brother straight while wrestling with the overall concept of good and evil in the face of all-out war. However, when John meets an Afghan orphan named Ishmael, he'll have to choose between his family and a shot at redemption.
