This is a short book of advice for at-risk youth growing up in impoverished communities who may be tempted to engage in criminal activity. It contains ten very clear warnings that have the potential to discourage young people from making poor choices and bad decisions that will inevitably place their freedom, as well as their lives, at risk. This information is being shared for the purpose of involving young people in the process of their own upliftment, which is the true essence of empowerment. Whether it is being read by the youth themselves, or adults who have an authentic interest in helping these young people, the contents of this work can be utilized as a powerful tool to discourage poor choices and bad decisions. If nothing else, what is written here will increase awareness of what really goes on inside of crime infested neighborhoods where addiction and criminal activity runs rampant. If we cannot look at the problem honestly, how can we generate and implement meaningful solutions that last? This writing is a simple step to get started.
