One cat painting, two cat paintings, three cat paintings ... five. Somehow the rather ugly cat paintings created by Old George Ellis seem to be connected to two break ins and now a murder. And romance novelist Mildred Acker bought one of these paintings at a charity auction, and only because the cat in the painting happened to resemble her own cat, Snarls. Just what is going on in the small and nothing town of Foster Woods Falls? It appears that Snarls may well have the inside track to finding out ... if only his owner would pay attention. What is a cat supposed to do?
