It's 1982. Private Detective Al Gerard is sipping a beer in a tavern south of Seattle when a young woman sits down next to him. He has no idea who she is or why she is handing him an envelope under the bar, but soon Al is looking into a suspicious death from twenty years ago. The lines between work and play start to blur - things are not what they seem - and everything gets messy. As soon as he unravels one mystery, others come into view. As he searches for the truth about what really happened in the past, murders start happening in the present.
