Drawn to Egypt's ancient history, traditions and archaeological discoveries, Talya O'Hearn leaves her home country Australia and ventures to Cairo. Once there, she intends to join a group of scientists exploring ancient sites. Though her main reason is; to be reunited with her childhood friend, Jassir - son of Bedouin Shekhar Fahir. Past history had brought her and Shekhar's family together. Her father Connor, his best friend Jonas and sister Anina also share part of this history. Jonas, Jassir and Talya join an international team researching historic sites and were quite successful, when devastating events interrupts their work. Shekhar's family suffers the most. Talya's dream of a future with Jassir and her cherished archaeological work are also shattered. Barely recovering from her ordeal and heartbroken, she must decide whether she stays on and continue with the team...or move on exploring other archaeological digs in various countries. She has all necessary degrees and diplomas to carry on with her work. Will memories hold her back in Egypt, wondering what else fate has instored for her?
