This is the third book of poems I wrote while traveling to 12 countries in 2019. I'd been in Eastern Europe for a few weeks, in June and July, passing through Berlin, Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest. Then I flew to Istanbul to meet up with my Chinese girlfriend. Together, we traveled to Turkey for a month, also visiting Antalya in the south of the country. We then flew to Belgrade, Serbia, staying there for a week before we took a bus to Novi Sad in the north. After two weeks, we decided to separate. She left for our next intended destination in Bosnia-Herzegovina while I stayed behind for about two more weeks. (Then I flew to Bangkok in September ... where we'd once again meet up). These poems comprise a mid-to-end of summer traveling through Turkey and Serbia between July-September 2019. This is probably my favorite book I wrote during that wild, crazy year.
