Matt Jaynes meets Ronin Tannerin who is looking for a place to stay and a job. Ron moves into a boarding house run by his mother, where he lives as well. Ron claims he is a scientist, lands a good job with Space Lab. Now Matt knows that Ron is not an ordinary guy. Ron claims to be related to Matt with the same ancestors but not of Earth. Matt continues to ask Ron for proof. The relationship moves forward as they date a pair of women. Ron doesn't want Matt to think he is crazy, so he takes Matt on an extraordinary adventure to prove it. Matt is impressed by the place and people he meets. Now they have an enormous challenge, to pull off, an historic national event, with U. S. officials, the media, the public and even a meeting with the President of the United States. Delegates from Coltin work together with their counterparts to produce a treaty and meet several goals.
