Water is a necessary resource that is indispensable in all human activities around the world. In developing countries, wastewater is discharged into nature without prior treatment. This practice has consequences resulting in the imbalance of aquatic ecosystems and multiple health problems in humans. The rationalization of the use of conventional water resources has become imperative and to remedy this, the treatment of wastewater necessarily becomes an obligation and appears as a necessary alternative for the preservation of water resources and the environment. This book is to give a brief overview of the use of cactus cladodes as a source of natural flocculant used in water treatment. At the same time, we are making an appeal to save this miraculous plant from the cochineal which destroyed most of the land cultivated by the cactus.
