It's good to participate, but the need to forge a special relationship with children can lead to building a distance from a participation that would bring him closer too many adults, so as to be considered a different adult, different because less involved. Hence the tempting notion of legitimate peripheral participation which, of a reflection on education, may appear to be able to describe certain positions observers, allowing here also to learn, not to become a central participant but to bear witness to the different logics of stakeholder participation, without forgetting the children.
