It's 1921 and Isadora Drake and her friends, known as the Bright Young Things, attend a dance at a local inn when one of their more disliked former classmates from high school collapses on the floor. The young lady with whom he had been dancing is accused of the murder. Isadore believes that they have the wrong person. When the parents of the accused young lady ask Isadora to help their daughter, Isadora decides it might be fun to become a detective. They believe that the popular Isadora might be able to get answers from those who might not want to speak to the police.
