Cornet, Trombone, and Percussion parts in one bound volume. This edition of Histoire du Soldat is based entirely on the original 1924 edition using modern publication standards. Obvious errors have been corrected while keeping things such as rehearsal marks and note beaming as close to the original as practical. Individual parts as well as a full score for this edition are available separately. Parts are divided into three volumes: Volume I: Clarinet and Bassoon; Volume II: Cornet, Trombone, and Percussion; Volume III: Violin and Bass. One addition to the parts is a cornet part in C. The original cornet part has movements in A with other movements in B-flat, requiring the player to transpose the part depending on key of the instrument chosen for the performance. Most often a C cornet or a C trumpet is the instrument of choice, thus the part in C. The percussion part has been rescored in order to provide a more logical and decipherable part for the player, one that is similar to other parts a modern percussionist will have seen before.
