Chuck is a local police officer in a suburban town of Washington D. C. When his boss gifts him a ticket to take a cruise, he sets off for some sun and relaxation from the port of Miami. Once they set sail, he finds himself on the pool deck and spots a beautiful woman who seems to be traveling alone. Later in the evening, he sees her carrying a large bag through a stairwell and follows her. He sees her leave something in one of the boats onboard and figures she is surprising someone. That evening she is seated one table away at dinner and he tries to hear what she is talking about. He hears her talking about cruises all over the world that she has been on and he becomes more curious now knowing she is indeed traveling alone. When the ship docks in Jamaica, he sees her out in the town speaking to a man who looks distinguished. He follows the man in a taxi and sees him arrive at a mansion on the far side of the island. He almost misses the cruise ship and gets back just in time to see the mysterious woman board with a bag that looks heavy. He tracks her to the casino and plants himself at a slot machine next to her to start a conversation. When she starts hitting on him, he is caught off guard by her beauty and they share cocktails in one of the lounges. When Chuck wakes up in his room, he doesn't remember getting there. He looks for his wallet and thinks he has been drugged. When he later sees the woman on the deck, she seems startled to see him like she didn't expect it. She tells him that he fainted and the crew took him to his room to rest saying it was heat exhaustion. Chuck feels embarrassed but wonders if she drugged him intending to kill him. The ship docks in Cozumel and he invites her to join him on a ride around the island. She declines but says she would be happy to join him at the evening show that night. Chuck stays on the ship and watches her leave with binoculars. He questions the crew about her and says he thinks they should search her room. When they decline because of no substantial evidence, he uses a maid's key to search her room. He finds boxes and boxes of jewelry which doesn't mean they are stolen but does seem very strange. Later when he is to meet her, she pulls him into a bar and says she needs his help and that she is in danger. He finds out she is an undercover international agent who has been working to bust diamond smugglers. Chuck has always had a thing for female law officers and is impressed with her story. He vows to help her escape the hitman and bring justice to the crimes. But is she just using him and framing him for the assassin's death or is there a potential romance brewing?
