A Nut In Solitude
Jennifer Keefe
What's better than going nutty in solitude? Being a nut in solitude! Follow Covid the Nut as he makes the best of quarantining, social distancing, and mask wearing so he can stay safe and healthy in his tree house! Story written by Jennifer Keefe and photographs by Suzanne Meeves. Jennifer is a writer and former journalist, with several published feature stories about notable individuals in Southern New Hampshire. She has also worked with special needs children as a paraprofessional, has a newborn son and many young cousins, all of which made her immediately concerned with how children are dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Suzanne is an amateur photographer with a love of using mostly found or built objects to bring people into small new worlds. During college she studied photography and printmaking techniques and continues to enjoy creating images as a way to cope with her own feelings of isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The idea for this book really started after receiving such a positive response to Instagram posts of this little acorn (@A_Nut_In_Solitude). Given their own personal reaction to the posts, Jennifer and Suzanne knew that children (and adults) could also benefit from such an uplifting story.
