Quarantine Queens: The Stories of Forward-Thinking Women Entrepreneurs During the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic is a collection of inspiring essays written by women entrepreneurs in various stages of their entrepreneurial journeys. When COVID-19 hit the U. S. in February of 2020, small businesses were among those hardest hit. Restaurants, hair salons, travel agencies, and more, all deemed non-essential, were paused in many states and their futures hung in the balance. Instead of bemoaning their uncontrollable circumstances, 30 women entrepreneurs came together every night for 30 nights via Zoom video conference calls and engaged in a month-long cocoon' designed to help them rethink, reimagine, and relaunch their businesses in a post-COVID-19 world. Led by educator & serial entrepreneur Doretha White, these women redeemed the time of the quarantine by equipping themselves with new knowledge, new vigor, and most importantly, new, lifelong friendships and supporters.
