Flipside, a work of fiction with a very real factual basis, reimagines our world. What if it were your homeland contributing to the global transit of refugees? Flipside seeks to bring the reader closer to our own, subconscious, prejudices. Allowing us to see more than a fleeting television news item, before our dinner, which is clearly momentary in its shock value, to the viewer. The same characters inhabit the novel from Chapter 5 onwards, though in alternative universal spaces, permitting the reader to step into the shoes of a refugee.
